About Us
Wizard Race Cars has roots as far back as 1955, when James Dunlap began his tenure as a race car owner. After many years of success building and maintaining their own cars, Dunlap Race Cars would form in 1990 and would spend many years building and maintaining race winning cars for teams all over North and South Carolina. For a few years, Dunlap Race Cars would face a brief pause in operations. During the pause in operations, Dunlap Racing was still finding success building and maintaining their own cars. Amongst this success driver, Everette Dunlap, was given the nickname "The Wizard". So in 2007 when Dunlap Race Cars reopened, they opened under the new name, Wizard Race Cars.
Wizard Race Cars, with a focus on building CRUSA street stocks and similar cars, has seen a rise in customers and has gained a larger area of influence. This has been due to the success of our customers at tracks all around the South East.
